Despite being so central, the hotel is tucked away on a quiet street, ensuring a peaceful retreat after exploring the vibrant city. Opposite the hotel, you will find a mini market, and just around the corner, there is a pharmacy. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with charming interiors and clean rooms. Every detail is thoughtfully curated, from the comfortable beds to the bathrooms. The breakfast was a highlight—fresh, flavorful, and offering a great variety to start the day. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the exceptional service. Farouk, the manager, was an absolute gem! He went above and beyond to make our trip memorable, helping us plan our days with insider tips. Just listen to him. He gives you little notes that he prints on the spot with places to go and how to get there. His knowledge and warmth made us feel at home. He recommended some hidden gems for dinner and places to shop, and his advice was spot on. If you stay here, don’t miss trying the local food spots he suggests—you’ll discover authentic flavors away from the tourist traps. He also organized transportation for us and gave us detailed guidance on how to navigate Istanbul’s public transport. Sometimes Hotel Taksim truly feels like a home away from home. The location is also close to the tunnel and ferries. A lot of nice places to eat in a very close distance. For example, breakfast cafe Yigit Sofram or restaurant for tasty dinner (Mahkeme Lokantasi). The owner was exceptionally friendly, ensuring we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The facilities were superb, and our room was cleaned daily, leaving it smelling fresh and tidy. It was also super warm with heating on. We enjoyed our time at Sometimes Hotel and plan to return in the future. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Istanbul. Central and not noisy at all.

The room and lobby were so clean, the mat is extremely comfortable you cannot get out of the bed in the morning! Hot water 24h, towels and shampoo/soap available. The fridge/bar was full for a little extras if you need it. Safe place day and night. The Host, Mr. Farouk, is so nice and welcoming, offers help any time. Would definitely stay there another time I visit Istanbul.
